The new Wetland Conservation Act allows a local governmental unit to charge a processing fee
of up to $75.
Staff is recommending a resolution to increase the wetland alteration pen fees by $75 to cover
the extra time and expense of using the state permitting process.

A RESOLUTION INCREASING FEES FOR WETLAND ALTERATION PERMITS
WHEREAS, the City of Chanhassen accepted the responsibility as the local governing unit
(LGU) for the Wetland Conservation Act (WCA) as of January 1, 1994; and
WHEREAS, to administer the WCA, extra time and materials above the wetland alteration
permit process will be necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chanhassen City Council hereby adopts
the following:
1. Wetland Alteration Permit Fee for:
RSF (single lots) $150
All Others $275
