RE: VISITOR'S PRESENTATION TO CHANHASSEN CITY COUNCIL
ON AUGUST 8, 1994, BY JOSEPH G. SCOTT
Dear Mayor and Councilmembers:
At the August 8, 1994, City Council meeting Joseph G. Scott made a visitor's presentation
concerning Councilmember Mark Senn. I was instructed by the Council to suggest options for dealing
with the allegations. Options include:
• do nothing
• refer the matter to the County Attorney
• appoint a private attorney to investigate the allegations and report to you
' I checked with the League of Minnesota Cities and asked if they would conduct an investigation.
I was informed that they no longer perform that function, although they have done so in the past. They
did recommend, however, that you appoint Jack Clinton, the Cottage Grove City Attorney, to
' investigate. I am familiar with Jack and know him to be capable. He has_ undertaken similar
investigations in the past.
