County. Some examples of these cooperative arts are the Eastern Carver County Transportation Study completed in 1989 c perative pticipation with MnDOT in the Trunk Highway 5 improvements, continued pursuit of the propg ed Trunk Highway 212 Improvement Project, and the proposed 10 -Year Coup ty °V Road Capital improvement Program. I have prepared a City approved resolution addressing Kerber Boulevard and Trunk Highway 101 to be attached to the overall petition. ' The next step would be for the MnDOT to review the submitted County /City information, and determine whether this request should be approved, denied or if further study is needed. It ' should be noted that due to the large number of speed study requests which MnDOT receives, it can be difficult to receive a rapid response to a single road speed issue. County and City staff hope that this comprehensive collection of roadway speed requests will carry more weight and ' move through the process with higher priority. It is therefore recommended that the City Council approve the joint resolution with Carver ' County requesting MnDOT to consider speed revisions to County roads in Chanhassen along with the segment of Trunk Highway 101 from Trunk Highway 5 north to city limits and at Kerber Boulevard from West 78th Street north to County Road 17 in Chanhassen.
