Vacation of Drainage and Utility Easements - Lot 1, Block 1, McGlynn Park
(Pillsbury site) - Vacation File No. 95 -1
The City holds a permanent drainage and utility easement around the southerly and westerly
perimeter of the Pillsbury building on Lot 1, Block 1, McGlynn Park. An 8 -inch water line
which used to fall within the easement loops around the building from McGlynn Drive to
Audubon Road. This water line solely services the Pillsbury building. In conjunction with all
of the recent McGlynn/Pillsbury building expansions this water line has been relocated outside
of this existing easement and therefore should be vacated. Upon further review of this water line
it appears the water line should be "considered a private service line similar to other
commercial /industrial sites in the City. Attached is a letter from Mr. Ric Moore, Director of
Operations at Pillsbury, accepting the City's proposal to vacate the drainage and utility easements
from the southerly and westerly portions of their facility.
It is therefore recommended the City adopt a resolution vacating the drainage and utility
easements over the westerly and southerly portions of Lot 1, Block 1, McGlynn Park legally
described on Exhibit A.

' A RESOLUTION TO VACATE DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS OVER THE
WESTERLY AND SOUTHERLY PORTION OF LOT 1, BLOCK 1, MCGLYNN PARK,
CARVER COUNTY, MINNESOTA
WHEREAS, the City has initiated the vacation of drainage and utility easements
over a portion of the southerly and westerly portions of Lot 1, Block 1, McGlynn Park; and
' WHEREAS, the City has determined there is no public benefit in maintaining said
drainage and utility easement.
' NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Chanhassen approves the vacation of the drainage and utility easements over a portion
' of Lot 1, Block 1, McGlynn Park, Carver County, Minnesota, legally described as as per
attached Exhibit A.
' Passed and adopted by the Chanhassen City Council this 12th day of June, 1995.
