The proposed pond will be located on City property acquired in 1995. The property is south of Kings Road across from Roundhouse Park. This pond will provide water quality treatment for approximately 6.27 acres of land north of Kings Road before the water reaches Lake St. Joe. Upstream land uses include park and residential. The plans and specifications have been completed and are on file in the Engineering Department. The project includes the following elements: · A new storm water pond that will provide treatment for approximately 6.27 acres of Lake St. Joe's subwatershed. The current construction cost estimate for the project is $74,272. This project will be financed by the City's Surface Water Management Plan (SWMP) Fund. CITY COUNCIL ACTION REOUESTED Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the following motion: '°The Chanhassen City Council approves the plans and specifications for the Kings Road pond project and authorizes staff to advertise for bids."
