REF: STORM WATER DRAINAGE AREA
s
M
We the residents of Penamint Ct, Redwing Ln, and Nez Perce Ct would like to know if the ci
of Chanhassen could do something about the area behind our houses. The water that enters this
area remains stagnant do to the tall grass and poor drainage. The general consensus with us
is that you could dig out the three inlet channels and possibly put a pond at the east end. '
In the "super storm" of 1987 many homes had water damage due to the back up of water in this
area. If this area was cleaned up it could possibly handle a storm easier. A pond at this '
location would also act as a filter producing cleaner water in the ponds after us. It would
also relieve some of the pressure put onto the pond south of Chaparral Park during heavy rain
We also feel that this development was never really completed and think that if we could
up with a pond that looks as nice as the one behind
Keith Osmonson
t Ln it would complete this area.
