SUBJ: Intersection of TH 101 and Pioneer Trail: Approve Resolution for Local Road Improvement Grant, PW0671 PROPOSED MOTION "The City Council approves a resolution of support for a Local Road Improvement Grant application for roadway improvements at TH 101 and Pioneer Trail." City Council approval requires a simple majority vote of the City Council present. DISCUSSION Park & Recreation Staff is requesting that City Council approve a resolution of support for a grant Phone: 952.227.1120 application for improvements to the intersection of TH 101 and Pioneer Trail. The grant Fax: 952.227.1110 application is for roadway widening, turn lane, signal, and drainage improvements at the intersection. The improvements will improve the safety and operation of the intersection. Recreation Center 2310 Coulter Boulevard City staff is currently working with representatives from MnDOT and Carver County on Phone: 952.227.1400 the design of TH 101 between Lyman Boulevard (CSAH 18) and Pioneer Trail (CSAH Fax: 952.227.1404 14). The intersection of TH 101 and Pioneer Trail is proposed to be reconstructed to match the new TH 101 roadway section. Staff has been working with MnDOT and Carver County to establish a financing package for the project. The Local Road Improvement Program was Senior Center identified as a possible additional funding source.
