Decertification of McGlynn's Tax Increment District No. 2-1
State law requires that the city officially notify the state when a tax increment
district has reached maturity. Attached please find a resolution officially
decertifying the McGlynn District. Both the city and the county have maintained
their respective records recognizing that the district would cease at the end of
1998 since the origination of the district. The resolution is solely notification to
the state and assures compliance with state laws.
Approval is recommended.

A RESOLUTION DECERTIFYING TAX INCREMENT DISTRICT NO. 2.1
IN DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. 2
WHEREAS, the duration of Tax Increment District No. 2.1 in Development District No. 2
within the City of Chanhassen ended in 1998. All increment received was used only to pay
development costs associated with improvements within the development district or to pay the
administrative expenses of the tax increment financing district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHANHASSEN CITY
COUNCIL that Tax Increment District No. 2.1 in Development District No. 2 is hereby decertified
as of December 31, 1998. Further, that this resolution shall serve as official notice to Carver
County of the city's action.
