Korzenowski x . Attached please find an application for a beer and wine license from Ted Korzenowski, owner of the Prairie House Restaurant at 501 West 79th Street. Mr. Korzenowski has owned and I operated this restaurant since 1984 and currently employs 25 people. The Prairie House has approximately 3,600 sq. ft. and seats 120 people. A full menu is available. 1 The Public Safety Department has completed a background investigation on Mr. Korzenowski and has not found any negative comments. 1 ' City Code requires that all new liquor licenses go through the public hearing process. Notice of tonight's public hearing was published in the Chanhassen Villager on October 28, 1993. All I property owners within 500 feet of this property were notified of the hearing as well as their opportunity to comment on this application. Since this notification, I have not received any comments about this request. R ECOMMENDATION I I recommend that the application for an on -sale beer and wine license for the Prairie House Restaurant at 501 West 79th Street be approved contingent upon the following: 1 1. Submittal of a $5,000 surety bond that expires on April 30, 1994. 2. Submittal of a Certificate of Liquor Liability Insurance meeting the minimum state 1 requirements that expires on April 30, 1994.
