As a property owners we have many concerns about the granting of this variance and have called Ron Isaak at Argus Development concerning these, but he has not returned our calls to date. I know that many of these questions would be answered at the council meeting but as we're unable to attend we would like to make them known to you. ' Our main concerns are: Safety, There is a large number of young children in this ' neighborhood. A 70+ hr work week could very easily comprise the safety of our children for the sake of productivity and meeting deadlines. Is there a time limit on this permit? 1 What specifically dose this permit cover, excavation only or will it include home construction? Is work beyond the hours of the variance permitted by subcontractors and if work does occur beyond these hours what action can be taken ?At this time the contractor is already working long hours excavating and doing preliminary site prep. CITY OF CUANHASSE BE ENE JUL 2 0 1993 ENGINEERING DEPT. 1 1 1 We've noticed in several of the other additions in our area that general housekeeping on Millers Construction sites leaves a lot to be desired, more 1 specifically streets are mud caked and dirty, seldom cleaned during the construction period. We also have a concern about scrap construction material and trash being removed in a timely manner so it dosen't end up 1 being blown around the neighbor. We would appreciate you considering these issues when reviewing the 1 Argus/ Joe Miller variance permit. 1 incerely, eter B. Kurth Judi A.
