Ursula Dimler's term expired on 12/31/92, and a member of the City Council should be appointed for a`3 year term expiring on 12/31/95. 1 The other position was originally held by Councilman Mason, who had to resign once he was appointed to the HRA (both groups meeting the same night). Councilman Wing agreed to fill the position until the end of 1992, however, due to time constraints with his work on the Council, ' the Tree Preservation Board and the Fire Department, he finds himself unable to continue in this position. Therefore, another Council member should be appointed to fill the unexpired term 1 ending 12/31/94. 1 1 1 1 1 1 PRINTED ON RECYCLED PAPER 11=111111.111111..1=1.1111.1Miaer I SOUTHWEST METRO TRANSIT \ 1 December 14, 1992 7600 Executive Drive 1 . The term of the position is three years, from January 1, 1993 to December 31, 1995. Council member Ursula Dimler holds this position which 1 expires 12/31/92. The second position is a re- appointment to a three -year term (January 1, 1992 - 1 December 31, 1994) and must be filled by a resident of Chanhassen, however, SMTC strongly encourages the selection of an elected official. Council member Richard Wing currently holds the position, completing the term of Mike Mason, until December 31, 1 1994. Commission members represent the interests of their City as they work together to achieve Southwest Metro Transit's goals and objectives. They are responsible for 1 attending Commission meetings which are scheduled for the evening of the fourth Thursday of each month at Eden Prairie, Chaska, or Chanhassen City Hall. We hope that appointments to these positions can be made in time for orientation before 1 the January 28, 1993 meeting. We are pleased to have this opportunity to assist the City Council in its selection 1 process. 1 cc: Don Ashworth 1.—Sttarmin Al -Jaff 1 ti 1 1 1
