1 SUBJ: Set 1993/94 Liquor License Fees
Each year at this time, the City Council establishes liquor license fees. The 1993 budget did not
include a rate increase, and therefore no increase is proposed at this time.
1 Staff Recommendation
1 Staff recommends that the City Council establish the 1993/94 liquor license fees as shown in the
attached resolution.

1 A RESOLUTION SETTING 1993 LIQUOR LICENSE FEES
BE IT RESOLVED by the Chanhassen City Council as follows:
1. The annual license fee for an on -sale intoxicating liquor license for the license year May
1 1, 1993 through April 30, 1994 shall be:

Wine/Beer License $270.00
3. For the purpose of liquor license fees, the terms restaurant, non - restaurant and floor area
I are defined as follows:
I Restaurant: Any establishment under the control of a single proprietor or manager
having appropriate facilities to serve meals, for seating not fewer than 125 guests
at one time, where in consideration of payment therefore, meals are regularly
I served at tables to the general public, and which employs an adequate staff for the
usual and suitable service to its guests in which the principal part of the business
is serving of foods, the gross sales of which foods shall be not less than 60% of
1 the gross sales of the establishment.
Floor Area: All of the floor area of the various floors of a licensed premises
1 measured to the centers of all partitions; except those areas primarily for non-

limited to, dead storage, building management, purposes including, but not to g , g ement, I g
toilets or restrooms, mechanical equipment rooms and kitchens.

Bar: Any on -sale liquor license establis hment with 40% or more of annual g ross
sales derived from the sale of liquor.
