The approved 1993 City budget allocated $350,000 towards the 1993 sanitary sewer I rehabilitation and I/I reduction program. Approximately $100,000 of this budget had been previously committed by the Council to complete a late fall 1992 I/I project which was not able to be conducted. 1 The original sanitary sewer rehabilitation study completed in June, 1989 will be reviewed to identify work and repair areas which have not yet been completed. Sewer televising I programs conducted over the last two years will also be reviewed to identify problem areas and prioritize work efforts. In order to keep the program schedule proceeding to be able to perform the work during favorable weather conditions this year, it is recommended that I the City Council authorize the preparation of plans and specifications for the 1993 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project No. 93 -7. 1 ktm Attachments: 1. Mr. Charles Folch, PE City of Chanhassen ' 690 Coulter Drive Chanhassen, MN 55317 093 RE: .112' Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Program Dear Mr. Folch: Planning 1 Transportation We have completed our review of the 1991 Sanitary Sewer Television Engineering Inspection Report as prepared by Pipe Services Corporation and have Urban Design identified a proposed scope of work for the 1992 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Program. The attached summary and map identify the Thresher Square sections of sanitary sewer main proposed to be included in this year's 700 Third Street So. program. Copies of the television logs for each of these sections are Minneapolis, also attached for you information. MN 55415 612/370 -0700 As requested, the scope of work for the 1992 Program includes work in Fax612/370 -1378 easement areas that do not require roadway removal and reconstruction. Otherwise, the sections of sewer main included in the program are those Minneapolis identified in the 1991 television inspection report to be in the worst "- Phoenix condition. The work program includes testing and sealing, spot repairs -Denver and complete reconstruction work. Orlando San Diego It should be noted that the budget and scope of -work originally Seattle - established for the annual sanitary sewer rehabilitation program was determined based upon the results of sewer television work performed by Donald W. Ringrose Visu -Sewer in 1987. Our June 12, 1989, Sanitary Sewer Study report Richard P. Wolsfeld summarizes the results of the Visu -Sewer televising - work and' provides Peter E. The basis for the rehabilitation program is the 1991 Sanitary Sewer Television Inspection Report prepared by Pipe Services Corporation, dated July 17, 1991. This report televised much of the sanitary II sewer within City easements. Prior to issuance of plans and specifications for this project, BRW will walk the II easements to determine the extent of removals and restoration, and inspect the manholes to determine their rehabilitation beyond that identified in the report.
