The other half of the site is left I in its natural state therefore only 1.25 acres of the 2.55 total site acreage is being billed at the surface water utility rate of $41.31 /acre. 1 , Parcel No. 3 Mr. Bert Notermann I PID No. 25.0362700 2.0 Acres 1 is t el PRINTED ON RECYCLED PAPER 1 1 1 Don Ashworth December 2, 1992 i Page 2 Billed at the business rate of $41.31 /acre however Mr. I Notermann had earlier filed an appeal (see attachment) and thus after re- evaluating the surface runoff it was determined to 1 charge Vz the site (1 acre) at the developed status and the remaining site at the undeveloped rate of $3.22. 1 Parcel No. 4 Moon Valley PID No. 25.0360200 I 39 Acres - Land Use: Agricultural Billed at the agricultural rate of $3.22 /quarter /40 acres. This I parcel also has a storm retention pond on site and with the recent court decisions, the City is requiring addition retention ponds be built to NURP standards of which the property owner 1 has agreed to do within a short timeframe. In conclusion, the City has made various adjustments to surface water utility account where I applicable. The Statewide Auto Salvage site is fully utilized in its current state therefore we have recommended that no credit or adjustment to the surface water utility bill is warranted at this time. 1 jms 1 Attachments: 1. The user fee is calculated based on the amount of runoff generated from the property. As with industrial or commercial type properties, more storm runoff is generated compared to residential due to the amount of hard surface coverage, i.e. parking lots and rooftops. Therefore, these types of properties pay a higher portion of the bill. Based on aerial topographic maps, I have recalculated a percentage of hard surface to the overall parcel size. Based on my review, I find that approximately one -half of the site is considered "developed status ". The remaining acreage has been considered as undeveloped and thus billed at the undeveloped rate of $3.22. Please find attached a revised Surface Water Utility bill reflecting these changes.
