SUBJ: District 112 Youth Commission, Chanhassen Vacancies
1
As stated in the attached letter from Tayna Bishman, Youth Commission Secretary dated
November 30, 1992, the commission has recently concluded that they are responsible for
appointing candidates to occupy vacant positions on the Youth Commission. As such, they
appointed Natali Rosinni to fill the position of Chanhassen Youth Representative at their last
meeting. In regard to the Adult Chanhassen Representative, the commission continues to seek
applicants. The attached news release has appeared in the Villager two or three times since the
November 9, 1992, City Council meeting. I have not received any new inquiries as a result of
this ad. Jay Johnson has reconfirmed his interest in this position. I will wait direction prior to
taking any further action in this regard.

Dear Mr. Hoffman, 1
I want to thank you for the patience you have shown in your II dealings with the Youth Commission. We appreciated your help as
we tried to fill the vacancies. You should have recently
received a copy of our bylaws. Upon our review of the bylaws, we
realized that the Youth Commission is responsible for appointing
II
someone to occupy a vacant position. In Article 1I, Section III:
Vacancies, it is stated that "In a case of vacancy the commission
shall appoint a person to serve the remainder of the term. I
Recommendation to fill vacancies shall be submitted to the
commission." At our last meeting, November 10,1992, we received
the recommendation of Natalie Rossini to fill the position of the
I Chanhassen Youth Representative. She was appointed with a
unanimous vote. Natalie Rossini will now complete the term left
vacant last summer by Heidi Halverson. When her term has been
completed, the City of Chanhassen will need to provide the Youth
I
Commission with another youth representative. We currently are
seeking recommendations for the Chanhassen and Chaska Adult
positions on the Youth Commission. We welcome any recommendations I
of candidates who are interested or who you feel would benefit
the commission. Thank you again for your help and understanding
in this matter.
Sincerely, 1 • ( "i- i't a-- & 4Jt r /7 " -) Tanya Bi man 1
Youth C mission Secretary
