Attached please find a request from Dan Herbst of.;heers III, Inc., for an off -sale
intoxicating liquor license. Mr. Herbst plate to open a new liquor store called "Cheers Wine
I and Spirits" at 530 West 79th Street, the space that *currently occupied by the MGM Liquor
Warehouse. Mr. Herbst plans to open the ;new stores February 1, 1993. As can be seen
from the application, Mr. Herbst is involved with threether liquor stores located in Eagan,
I Woodbury, and Bloomington.
' The officers of Cheers III are Daniel J. Herbst, Chanhassen, President; Margaret C. Miller,
Eden Prairie, Treasurer; and S uitt A. Kruger, Eagan, Secrary. The Public Safety Director
has completed a background - investigation on each of the officers and has found no negative
comments. T `

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Chanhassen City Council will hold a public 1
hearing on Monday, October 26, 1992, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 690 Coulter
Drive, to consider an application from Cheers III, Inc. for an off -sale intoxicating liquor license
at 530 West 79th Street. This property is located where the current MGM Liquor Store is
located, which will be moving to the new Market Square development. Cheers III, Inc., plans
to open sometime in February, 1993. 1
