No changes to boundaries 1 can be considered prior to a year ending in "2" following that census. Changes can be considered in any year ending a "2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 ", but may not be changed , years ending with "7, 8 or 9" II following that census. Unfortunately - = e disagreed, stating that the city must use a disti able line that can be seen on the ground, i.e. the shored ?' - of a lake, the center line of I a street, etc. The decisi by the state was devastating to the community as we have few continuous east /west or north /south roads -- especially in the highly populated areas of I the community. The attached map represents staff's best effort in attempting to equalize population while still following some recognizable line. PRECINCT ONE: All qualified voters residing in that part of the City of Chanhassen in Minnetonka School District 276 lying east of Powers Blvd. (County Road 17) and north /northeasterly of the following described line; north of Carver Beach Road to Nez Perce Drive, southerly on Nez Perce Drive to the northerly border of the subdivision of Triple Crown Estates, then easterly to Carver Beach Road, northwesterly along Carver Beach Road to Fox Hill Drive, northeasterly on Fox Hill Drive to Lotus Lake, southerly along the west shore of Lotus Lake to the eastern border of South Lotus Lake Addition, southeasterly along said line to the centerline of State Highway 101, then northeasterly along the centerline of State High- way 101 to the Carver County /Hennepin County line. Said voters will vote in the Main Fire Station, 7610 Laredo Drive. PRECINCT TWO: All qualified voters residing in that part of the City of Chanhassen in Chaska School District 112 lying north of State Highway 5 from the Carver County /Hennepin County boundary west to Great Plains Blvd. (Highway 101), east side of Great Plains Blvd. (Highway 101) from Highway 5 to West 78th Street, the north side of West 78th Street to Kerber Blvd., and all voters residing east of Kerber Blvd. and southeast of the subdivision of Triple Crown Esta- tes. The northerly boundary line being described as follows: Then northwesterly along Carver Beach Road to Fox Hill Drive, - northeasterly on Fox Hill Drive to Lotus Lake, southerly along the west shore of Lotus Lake to the eastern border of South Lotus Lake Addition, southeasterly along said line to the centerline of State Highway 101, then northeasterly along the centerline of State High- way 101 to the Carver County /Hennepin County line. Said voters will vote in the Chanhassen City Hall, 690 Coulter Drive. ' PRECINCT FOUR: All qualified voters residing in that part of Chaska School District 112 north of Lyman Blvd., west of Great Plains Blvd. (Highway 101), northerly to the south side of West 78th Street from ' Great Plains Blvd. (Highway 101) to Kerber Blvd., west side of Kerber Blvd. including the subdivision of Triple Crown Estates, west of Nez Perce Drive, south of Carver Beach Road and east of Powers Blvd. (County Road 17). Said voters will vote in the Chanhassen City Hall, 690 Coulter Drive. PRECINCT FIVE: All qualified voters residing north of Lyman Blvd. (County Road 18), west of Powers Blvd. (County Road 17) and east of Galpin Blvd. (County Road 117) shall vote in the City of Chanhassen Public Works Building, 1591 Park Road. 1 PRECINCT SIX: All qualified voters residing in the City of Chanhassen west of Galpin Blvd. (County Road 117) shall vote in the Minnewashta Fire Station, 6400 Minnewashta Parkway. 1 Passed and adopted by the Chanhassen City Council this day of , 1992.
