CITY OF CHANHASSEN
CARVER AND.HENNEPIN COUNTIES, MINNESOTA
ORDINANCE 167 '
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7 (BUILDING CODE)
OF THE CHANHASSEN CITY CODE
On April 27, 1992, the Chanhassen City Council adopted an amendment
to Chapter 7 of. the Chanhassen City Code. A printed copy of the
ordinance is available for inspection by any person during regular
office hours at the office of the City Clerk at Chanhassen City
Hall, 690 Coulter Drive, Chanhassen, Minnesota.
It is the intent of these changes that City ordinances passed over
the years that conflict with presently adopted sections of the
Building Code be updated so that the 1988 Uniform Building Code and
the 1991 State Building Code are included in the City Code. ,
Chanhassen City Code Chapter 7 revisions include changes in
7 -16 (b)(c) to remove reference to code sections that no longer
exist, to remove reference code sections which are no longer
required and to remove unnecessary wording; 7 -17 reflects changes
recommended by the State Building Codes and Standards Division;
7 -18 clarifies the established procedure that the State surcharge
fee is required to be collected by cities and remitted to the
State; and, 7 -19 reflects requirements that will enable staff to
more effectively review permit applications by requiring additional
information on a survey.
