MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor and City Council
' FROM: Don Ashworth, City Manager
' DATE: January 28, 1991
SUBJ: Set Special Meeting Date, Joint City Council /HRA Meeting
' Per discussions with the Mayor, both Don and I would support the
idea of continued joint meetings with our commissions to talk about
' upcoming goals and objectives. The joint meeting with the Housing
and Redevelopment Authority is proposed to be similar to that
recently held with the Planning Commission and similar to that with
the HRA from this past year. At the Housing and Redevelopment
' Authority's last meeting, the attached list of goals and objectives
were adopted.
Although all of the items in the HRA's listing are important, items
which should be discussed further include:
1 - Market Square Development: Current status /potential
negotiation issues.
- Clock Tower Plaza: Concept plan to be presented.
1 - Downtown Signalization: Who authorizes /oversees actual
construction?
' - Crossroads Bank: What happens after August?
' - Housing: Should alternatives be pursued?
This item has been placed in the Administrative Presentation
section recognizing the necessity to establish a meeting date.
' February 4th (Monday) is anticipated to be favored by the City
Council with the HRA probably favoring February 7th (Thursday).
Your pleasure?
