Dear Mayor Chmiel:
I am happy to host and invite you to attend a meeting of the Minnesota
Suburban NAACP. The meeting will be directed by Mr. Frank Taylor, President
of the Minnesota Suburban Branch. The purpose of the meeting is to make you,
a suburban Mayor, aware of the Suburban NAACP Branch and how it helps serve
your city and also to explain the Branch's position on the Minnesota Heritage
Law and its affects on Minnesota's citizens now and in the future. Mr. Taylor
will also talk about establishing a partnership with the Suburban Branch to
fight crime and violence throughout the communities which the Suburban Branch
represents.
The length of the meeting should be no more than 90 minutes. We have
scheduled it for Wednesday, May 8th, at 11:00 AM at the Edina City Hall,
located at 4801 West 50th Street, which is a block east of Highway 100.
I encourage you to attend if at all possible. 1
Sincerely,
