Monthly Report
Ice Rinks
Due to the warm weather, the parks maintenance staff has not begun flooding any
of the outdoor rinks. Weather permitting, we should be operational by mid to late
December. Staff's goal will be to have ice by the holiday break when our Ice
Skating Clinic will occur. Portable warming house trailers will be delivered to the
park sites the week of December 13. We are still in need of some additional rink
attendants to fill some available hours.
February Festival
Plans are in progress for this February 5, 2000 event. Some
promotional/advertising information should be in the community by the end of this
month.
Winter Classes
Many of our winter classes will begin in January. Some events still coming up in
December include: School Day Out Program, Minnesota Timberwolves
Basketball Trip and Ice Skating Clinic.
Tree Lighting Ceremony
The Tree Lighting Ceremony was held on Saturday, December 4. Please see the
Tree Lighting Evaluation for more details.
