5a Monthly ReportCITYOF MEMORANDUM TO: Todd Hoffman, Parks and Recreation Director FROM: I)ATE: SUB J: Tracy K. Petersen, Recreation Supervisor December 2, 1999 Monthly Report Ice Rinks Due to the warm weather, the parks maintenance staff has not begun flooding any of the outdoor rinks. Weather permitting, we should be operational by mid to late December. Staff's goal will be to have ice by the holiday break when our Ice Skating Clinic will occur. Portable warming house trailers will be delivered to the park sites the week of December 13. We are still in need of some additional rink attendants to fill some available hours. February Festival Plans are in progress for this February 5, 2000 event. Some promotional/advertising information should be in the community by the end of this month. Winter Classes Many of our winter classes will begin in January. Some events still coming up in December include: School Day Out Program, Minnesota Timberwolves Basketball Trip and Ice Skating Clinic. Tree Lighting Ceremony The Tree Lighting Ceremony was held on Saturday, December 4. Please see the Tree Lighting Evaluation for more details.
