SUB J:
Temporary Slope Easement for Trail Construction;
Highlands of Bluff Creek
The final plat for the Highlands at Bluff Creek is scheduled for consideration by
the City Council at the City Council meeting on Monday, June 14. During a field
inspection conducted on June 8, it was determined that a temporary slope
easement on the westerly 25 feet of the south 600 feet of the Highlands of Bluff
Creek plat will be necessary to construct the Highway 41 trail connector. Tree
removal will occur within the slope easement, but the overall canopy effect in the
area will be preserved. Grading will not occur within the entire slope easement
area. The 25-foot width is the maximum area required to match the grade to the
new trail. Please include this requirement as a condition of approval for the final
platting of the Highlands at Bluff Creek.
RECOMMENDATION
The following condition shall be added to Planning Case No. 04-20:
"A temporary slope easement on the westerly 25 feet of the south 600 feet of the
Highlands of Bluff Creek plat shall be granted to the City for the construction of
the Highway 41 trail."
