DATE:
RE:
Acceptance of Donation During President Bush Visit -
ARAMARK Food Services
BACKGROUND
On October 9,2004, President Bush made an appearance at City Center Park.
Numerous people helped make this event possible by working the entire day
either at the event site, at satellite parking areas, or at the command center in the
Fountain Conference Room.
Keeping all these people fed throughout the entire day was a large undertaking,
and ARAMARK food services very successfully met the challenge. They
estimate that the total cost of their services is as follows:
Food
Labor
Total
$677.53
$803.00
$1,480.53
ARAMARK has graciously offered to donate their services for this event. The
City of Chanhassen, as well as the other agencies that enjoyed their meals, are
very appreciative of their generosity.
RECOMMENDA TION
Staff recommends the City Council accept a donation in the amount of $1,480.53
for food and labor costs incurred by ARAMARK during the Presidential visit on
October 9,2004.
