1981 01 24 I I I SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL, JANUARY 24, 1981 A special meeting of the Chanhassen City Council was called to order at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 1981 by Mayor Thomas Hamilton. The following members were present: Mayor Hamilton, Councilmen Swenson, Neveaux, Geving and Horn. AWARD OF BIDS, CARPETING FOR NEW CITY HALL/LIBRARY: A motion was made by Councilman Swenson and seconded by Councilman Geving to award the carpeting bid to St. Paul Carpet and Linoleum Co. in the amount of $12,830 for Designer's Touch carpeting. This is the lowest bid which met the specifications. The following voted in favor: Mayor Hamilton, Councilmen Swenson, Neveaux, Geving and Horn. No negative votes. Motion carried. \/ V' AWARD OF BIDS, TELEPHONE EQUIPMENT, PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY: A motion was made by Councilman Geving and seconded by Councilman Neveaux to table this item to Monday, January 26, 1981. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hamilton, Councilmen Swenson, Neveaux, Geving and Horn. No negative votes. Motion carried. CITY ENGINEER INTERVIEWS: The City Council interviewed William Monk, John Sweeney and Bruce Bullert for the City Engineer/Public Works Director Position. No action was taken. A motion was made by Councilman Neveaux and seconded by Councilman Horn to adjourn the meeting. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hamilton, Councilmen Swenson, Neveaux, Geving and Horn.
