1981 07 06 I I I SPECIAL CHANHASSEN CITY COUNCIL MEETING JULY 6, 1981 Mayor Hamilton called the meeting to order at 7~30 p.m. with the following members present: Councilwoman Swenson, Councilmen Horn, Geving, and Neveaux. AWARD OF BIDS, 1981 BONDING, DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT: Bob Sander, Juran and Moody, presented the bid that was received at the opening earlier in the day. The bid was from Bank Northwest as Manager with the First National Bank of Minneapolis as joint Manager with a net inter~st rate of 11.42%. Councilman Neveaux moved to reject the bid from Bank Northwest at a net interest rate of 11.42% and direct Juran and Moody to return the $94,340 good faith check. Further direct Juran and Moody to continue negotiations over a 30 day period of time to attempt to come in at a 10.80% net interest rate or lower and report back to the Council. Motion seconded by Councilman Horn. The following voted in favor: Mayor Hamilton, Councilwoman Swenson, Councilmen Neveaux, Geving, and Horn. No negative votes. Motion carried. Reso\vJ\c>'\ gt-.2Q P. AMERICAN LEGION SEWER AND WATER PROJECT PUBLIC HEARING: Councilwoman Swenson moved to postpone the public hearing to July 13, 1981, at 7:30 p.m. Motion seconded by Councilman Geving. The following voted in favor: Mayor Hamilton, Councilwoman Swenson, Councilmen Neveaux, Geving, and Horn. No negative votes. Motion carried. Councilman Geving moved to adjourn.
