more authority for 5taff to make decisions within Council guidelines.
_ Promote interaction between the Council and the staff with other governments and with
adjacent communities. Work with the schools and counties on funding options.
_ Promote the City within Chanhassen through Council leadership. Improve
communications to encourage participation. Combat citizen apathy. Promote. City
effectiveness. Explain the fiscal impact of spending to citizens.
_ Develop a community identity· primarily for existing residents, but also for potential
residents.
