Reasons for Seeking this Position:
I have enjoyed serving on the Chanhassen Park and Recreation Commission these past three years and
would be honored to be asked to serve an additional term. I am interested in continuing on the board so
that I can help support Chanhassen's Parks, Trails, and Recreation Programs and continue the progress
we have made on key initiatives including the new playground equipment and a dog park for
Chanhassen citizens. By continuing on the commission, it is my hope to see these activities come to

Specific Qualifications for the Position:
In the three years I have been on the Commission, I believe I have contributed to our efforts to be
fiscally responsible while providing an outstanding park and recreation opportunity to our citizens.
Specifically, I have added a framework to assist in prioritizing capital spending recommendations, kept
the need to replace unsafe playground equipment at the forefront of the Commission's agenda,
supported new ideas and services such as the Farmers' Market and Miracle Kids Triathlon, and actively
participated in our wonderful programs. Going forward, I believe my experience will help us
accomplish our future objectives including resolving the dog park issue and appropriately serving the

come together as a team and have formed a strong working relationship with Park Staff, City Staff, and
the City Council. I believe that by my continuing on the Park and Recreation Commission, I can build
upon these strong relationships and continue to strengthen our Park and Recreation system.
