Dear Don:
Now that the City and Instant Web have resolved their issues on the tax assessments for
the comer lot, I would like to come over and visit with you at your office and continue
our conversation about Instant Web donating that lot to the City. I am also prepared to
have Instant Web spend up to $300,000 to build the signage as shown on the sketch_
I have not got a final OK for this from Beddor Enterprises stockholders nor Jerome
Carlson. I would like to review this again before we make this contribution.
I would like to take you for a short, 10-minute drive and show you some pine trees and
dogwoods that I planted that are making an excellent screen in a certain area.

I appreciate the time you spent with me Friday to review Instant Web's proposal to
donate a $550,000 lot and spend $300,000 to build signage on the corner of County
Road 17 and Highway 5 . We would be happy to meet with you and the mayor to review
the terms. Ours terms are simple: donate the lot to the city, and put up signage as
follows:

The City would then own and maintain the property and agree not to sell or build
anything on this corner for perpetuity.
I am going to be gone for a month from September 9 to October 9. However, I would
be free to meet Wednesday afternoon, August 26, anytime after noon. I am &ee

Today I met with Mayor Nancy Mancino and Don Ashworth. We
discussed our donation of the comer lot and the three silo structures
I have another suggestion. At the Dinner Theater they have a stone stand that is in
a semi-circle and glass-enclosed with electricity. This is at the entrance to their
property. I would like you to make a sketch of this type of structure--probably a
little larger--to put on this corner lot. I think this would be worthwhile for the City
because they could put signage in it for their special events like the 4t~ of July and
other city celebrations.
One side could say "Welcome to Chanhassen" and the other side could
say "the home of ----"
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
