1977 09 26 I I I CONTINUATION or SEPTEMBER 19, 1977, CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 26, 1977 Mayor Hobbs called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. in the Old Village Hall with the following members present: Councilmen Pearson, Neveaux, and Waritz. Councilman Geving was absent. PROJECT 77-2 EASEMENT ACQUISITION, BRETT TESSNESS: Councilman Neveaux moved to "approveacquisltion of E"asemen-t #11 for Project 77-2 from Brett and Debra Tessness and instruct the Manager and Mayor to sign a letter of agreement dated September 26, 1977, relating to the easement. Motion seconded by Councilman Pearson. The following voted in favor: Mayor Hobbs, Councilmen Pearson, Neveaux, and Waritz. No negative votes. Motion carried. PROJECT 77-2 EASEMENT ACQUISITION, ED HJERMSTAD: Councilman Pearson mÒved to a pp"rÒ ve the" a"dqÙisitio"n of. the-Hjermstad Easement #37 for Project 77-2 in the amount of $500.00. Motion seconded by Councilman Neveaux. The following voted in favor: Mayor Hobbs, Councilmen Neveaux, Pearson, and Waritz. No negative votes. Motion carried. VARIANCE REQUEST AND SEWER MORATORIUM-- ADOLPH TESSNESS: Councilman Neveaux reqÜest"ed" that thls· item he· "p-laced O"n the next Council Agenda. 1978 POLICE CONTRACT: Mayor Hobbs reported on the meeting held September 20 with the County Board of Commissioners. The Board would not accept the city's offer of $90,000. The City Manager has prepared a compromise at a cost of $97,019 which was discussed. Councilman Neveaux moved to authorize the. City Manager to present the latest proposal from his office dated September 22, 1977, to the Carver County Board of Commissioners striking items 2 and 4 of this proposal. Motion seconded by Councilman Waritz. The following voted in favor: Mayor Hobbs, Councilmen Pearson, Neveaux, and Waritz. No negative votes. Motion carried. COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY SYSTEM: Pat Murphy, Carver county;úirector of Public Works, w~s present ~6 dl~cuss deletions and additions for state aid designation and request the Council pass a resolution stating the city approves and agrees with the changes made to the system. The county proposes to delete Old County Road 17 and County Road 14 and add the new alignment of County Road 17 and Lyman Blvd. It was decided that the City Manager and Pat Murphy will work out a specific turn back policy prior to action on the resolution. 1978 when l. 2. Page 26, Elections - add $2,000 for Referendum~ suggested changes Councilman rearson moved to adjourn. Motion seconded by Councilman Waritz.
