SPECIAL CHANHASSEN CITY COUNCIL MEETING DECEMBER 27, 1976
Mayor Klingelhutz called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. with the
following members present: Councilmen Neveaux, Kurvers, and Waritz.
Councilmen-elect Dale Geving and Dick Pearson were present. The
meeting was opened with the Pledge to the Flag. Councilman Hobbs was
absent.
POSITION CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PROGRAM: Hugh Hawkins, Loren
Law and Associates, was present to discuss the program.
A motion was made by Councilman Neveaux and seconded by Councilman
Kurvers to approve the revised salary schedule as presented by the
City Manager as follows:

The following voted in favor: Mayor K1inge1hutz, Councilmen
Kurvers, and Waritz. No negative votes. Motion carried.
Neveaux,
A motion was made by Councilman Kurvers and seconded by Councilman
Neveaux to approve a $10.00 increase for hospitalization coverage
effective January 1, 1977. The Council favorably agrees with a staged
program bringing the insurance into line with other municipalities as
shown in the study·prepared by the City Manage:t;. The following'vOted
in, favor: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Kurvers, Neveaux, and Waritz.
No negative votes. Motion carried.
LETTER TO JOHN BOLAND: The City Manager has prepared a letter in
answer to Mr. Boland's letter that appeared in the Carver County Herald.
The Council felt the letter should be sent but that the last two
sentences should be changed. Representatives of the City will also
meet with Mr. Boland.
A motion was made by Councilman Kurvers and seconded by Councilman
Neveaux to adjourn. The following voted in favor: Mayor Klingelhutz,
Councilmen Kurvers, Neveaux, and Waritz. No negative votes. Meeting
adjourned at 12:05 a.m.
