1970 03 23 r I I I CHANHASSEN VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING - March 23, 1970 The Special Chanhassen Village Council meeting was held on March 23, 1970 at 8:00 p.m. in the Village Hall. It was decid~d to dispense with all formalities. The following members were present: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Klingelhutz, Bennyhoff, Pearson, and Hill. FINANCIAL CONSULTANT: Mr. Robert Ehlers and Mr. Paul Gubrud of the firm of Ehlers and Associates, Inc., were present to explain their ideas on what a Financial Consultant could and should do for the Village. Mr. Ehlers explained how his company would handle the Financial Consulting for the Village of Chanhassen if they were hired. No action was taken at this time. SEWERS (General): Bill Schoell explained where the different areas in the Village of Chanhassen according to topography would naturally drain by gravity. The force main that would serve the sewer plant could go three different routes. At this time no final decision has been made on which route the force main would be constructed. A motion was made by Councilman Hill and seconded by Councilman Bennyhoff to authorize the Village Engineer to prepare a feasibility study on the area indicated by red on exhibit dated March 23, 1970. The following voted in favor thereof; Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Klingelhutz, Bennyhoff, Pearson, and Hill. No negative votes. Motion carried. The area indicated in the above motion are all the areas that will be served by the Shorewood Interceptor. A motion was made by Councilman Klingelhutz and seconded by Councilman Hill to authorize the Engineer to submit capacity data for the area on the north and west side of Lotus Lake that ultimately would flow into Eden prairie to Eden prairie's Engineer. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Klingelhutz, Bennyhoff, Pearson, and Hill. No negative votes. Motion carried. MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT: A motion was made by Councilman Hill and seconded by Councilman Klingelhutz authorizing the Maintenance Department to do what extra work is necessary to clean up Main Street (public property) during Frontier Days. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Klingelhutz, Pearson, Bennyhoff, and Hill. No negative votes. Motion carried. COMMUNITY CALENDAR: A motion was made by Councilman Hill and seconded by Councilman Bennyhoff that the Village Office be used as a collection point of Village Activity meeting schedules. Infor- mation collected would be turned over weekly to the newspaper. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Klingelhutz, Bennyhoff, Pearson, and Hill. No negative votes. Motion carried. A motion was made by Councilman Hill and seconded by Councilman Klingelhutz to adjourn.
