1971 08 16 ~ I I I ~ PUBLIC HEARING - BLUFF CREEK HIGHLANDS 2ND ADDITION - REZONING AND PRELIMINARY PLAT - August 18, 1971 - 7:30 P.M. The Planning Commission and the Village Council of Chanhassen met on August 18, 1971, at 7:30 p.m. for a joint Public Hearing on the above. Council Members present: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Bennyhoff and Neils. Planning Commission Members present: John Neveaux, Arnold Ryba, Dan Herbst, Ward Passe and Nick Waritz. Interested persons present: Maynard Happe, Mr. & Mrs. John Malakowsky, Susan Pedersen, Rick Lang, Jim Orr, Mr. & Mrs. Willard Johnson and Mrs. Ida Johnson. The Administrator read the official notice of the Public Hearing. The Village Engineer gave the engineering report on the preliminary plat. Rick Lang, representing Steiner & Koppelman, explained the proposed plat. Concern was expressed by Mr. Happe and Mr. Malakowsky about people parking and walking to Outlot B which is represented as a possible park site. Councilman Klingelhutz arrived. No other objections were voiced. A motion was made by Councilman Bennyhoff and seconded by Councilman Neils to close the Public Hearing on rezoning. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz and Neils. No negative votes. Motion carried. A motion was made by Nick Waritz and seconded by Ward Passe to close the Public Hearing for the preliminary plat. Motion unanimously approved. The Village Council will make their final decision at the August 30, 1971, Council Meeting. --------------------------------------------------------------------- CHANHASSEN VILLAGE COUNCIL MINUTES - August 16, 1971 The Chanhassen Village Council opened its meeting on August 16, 1971, at 8:15 p.m., with the Pledge to the Flag. The following members were present: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz, and Neils. ~ i I CHANHASSEN VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING - August 16, 1971 -2- COUNCIL MINUTES: A motion was made by Councilman Bennyhoff and I seconded by Councilman Klingelhutz to approve the Minutes of August 9, 1971. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz and Neils. No negative votes. Motion carried. PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES: Amotion was made by Councilman Bennyhoff and seconded by Councilman Neils that the P¡anning Commission Minutes of August 10, 1971, be noted and read. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Bennyhoff,Klingelhutz and Neils. No negative votes. Motion carried. CHANHASSEN ESTATES 2ND ADDITION: A motion was made by Councilman Klingelhutz and seconded by Councilman Bennyhoff to approve the Final Plat of Chanhassen Estates 2nd Addition and authorize the Mayor and the Clerk to sign said plat. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz and Neils. No negative votes. Motion carried. BILLS: A motion was made by Councilman Bennyhoff and seconded by Councilman Klingelhutz to approve the bills as submitted. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz and Neils. No negative votes. Motion carried. I POLICE REPORT: Al Wallin gave the monthly police report and general problems were discussed. KNOLLWAY ESTATES: A"'motion was made by Mayor Coulter and seconded by Councilman Bennyhoff that the Village not accept the road in Knollway Estates until it is brought up to Village standards (black- top). The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz and Neils. No negative votes. Motion carried. ALDRITT PROBLEM: A motion was made by Councilman Klingelhutz and seconded by Councilman Bennyhoff that the Village Attorney be authorized to strike the AIdritt case from the court calendar with the understanding that Mr. Aldritt will continue to clean up his property. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz and Neils. No negative votes. Motion carried. SHORBA HOUSE: The Village Attorney stated what action can be taken to have this house removed. Councilman Klingelhutz stated that he will meet with Mr. Shorba. ASSESSING: A motion was made by Councilman Klingelhutz and seconded by Councilman Neils to contract with Carver County for the Village assessing in the year of 1972 at a cost of $1.00. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz and Neils. No negative votes. Motion carried. Pumper contract with Peter Pirsch & Sons and authorize the Mayor and the Clerk to sign said contract after Peter Pirsch has signed. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Coulter, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz and Neils. No negative votes. Motion carried.
