PUBLIC HEARING - CONTINUATION - ZONING QRDINANCE ~ Ja.nu,a.;r::x 5, ;1,972
The continuation of the public hearing on the proposed Zoning
Ordinance was opened at 7:30 p.m. The following members of the
Village Council were present: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen
Bennyhoff, Kurvers and Neils. Councilman Wolf was absent.
The following Planning Commission members were present: Dan Herbst,
Arnold Ryba and Ward Passe.
Also attending were Adolph Tessness and Russell Larson
The minutes should reflect that the Village Attorney attended the
December 15, 1971, public hearing.
The minutes should also reflect that there has been no communication,
requests or questions from the public since the December IS, 1971,
public hearing.
Miscellaneous items were discussed:
1. Section14, subsection 3
2. Noise level in the Industrial District.
3. Mayor Klingelhutz felt that the R-l District should have
a square foot minimum.
4. Russ felt that two car enclosed garages should be included
in the R-l District.
5. That the general provision section would include a
requirement that all proposed developments which contain
in excess of 25 dwelling units or 10 acres, whichever
is most restrictive, would be required to apply under
the Planned Districts.
6. Section 8.06, subsection 3 - change from 2~ to 3 stories.
It would appear that the one issue that the Council could not resolve
was whether enclosed garages should be required or not required
in the R-l District.
Mayor Klingelhutz polled the Council members to see if this issue
should be put in the Carver County Sun so that the Council can
see what the public feels on this question. Mayor Klingelhutz,
Councilmen Bennyhoff and Kurvers - yes. Councilman Neils - no.
A motion was made by Councilman Bennyhoff and seconded by Council-
man Neils to continue the public hearing until January 31, 1972,
at 7:30 p.m.
