Al Harvey was present and objected to his assessed
valuation. He stated that he felt his assessment
was not at an equal ratio with the other homes in
his area.
The Assessor was instructed to meet with Al Harvey
to discuss his valuation.
A motion was made by Councilman Bennyhoff and seconded by Council-
man Neils to accept the changes made by this Board of Equalization.
The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Klingelhutz,
Councilmen Bennyhoff, Kurvers, Neils and Wolf. No negative votes.
Motion carried.

CHANHASSEN VILLAGE COUNCIL MINUTES - June 12, 1972
The special Chanhassen Village Council Meeting on June l2, 1972,
at 7:30 p.m., was called to order by Mayor Klingelhutz. All
formalities were dispensed with. The following members were
present: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Kurvers, Neils
and Wolf.
LAKE ANN PARK: General discussion on the Police problems with
Lake Ann Park.
A motion was made by Councilman Neils and was seconded by Council-
man Bennyhoff that the open hours for Lake Ann Park shall be
8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The following voted in favor thereof:
Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Kurvers, Neils and Wolf.
No negative votes. Motion carried.
STERLING ESTATES: General explanation and discussion by the
Village Council and the Village Engineer on the alternate sewer
alignment in Sterling Estates.
A motion was made by Councilman Wolf and seconded by Councilman
Kurvers that the Village approve the Engineer's recommendation
in Sterling Estates as Alternate C along the lakeshore (actual
alignment as close as possible to the lakeshore). Also that
the dewatering hose be run as far as possible out into the lake.
The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Klingelhutz, Council-
men Bennyhoff, Kurvers, Neils and Wolf. No negative votes. Motion
carried.
O.E.O.: A motion was made by Councilman Wolf and seconded by
Councilman Neils that the Village enter into an agreement with
the O.E.O. to hire one additional employee under the Emergency
Employment Act and transfer Bill Ballhorn from the Emergency
Employment Act to the New Careers Program.
MAYOR KLINGELHUTZ: I will go along with this motion if
we do not hire any extra help this summer.
COUNCILMAN KURVERS: I feel that the Village should hire
some of the young people just out of high school and that
there is a real need to hire experienced personnel in a
growing Village.
The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Klingelhutz, Council-
men Bennyhoff, Neils and Wolf. Councilman Kurvers voted no.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by Councilman Wolf and seconded by Councilman
Kurvers to adjourn. The following voted in favor thereof:
Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Kurvers, Neils and Wolf.
No negative votes. Motion carried.
