1973 11 19 I I I CHANHASSEN V¡LLhGE COUNCIL MINUTES - November 19, 1973 -1- The regular Chanhassen Village Council meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. on November 19, 1973 by Mayor Al Klingelhutz and was opened with the Pledge to the Flag. The following members were present: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Kurvers and Wolf. Councilman Bennyhoff was absent. A motion was made by Councilman Kurvers and seconded by Councilman Wolf to dispense with items A and B on the agenda until the next Council meeting. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Kurvers and Wolf. No negative votes. Motion carried. BILLS: A motinn was made by Councilman Wolf and seconded by Councilman Kurvers to approve the bills as submitted with the addition of $10,131.48 to Schoell and Madson for a 200 gallon storage tank for Project 7l-lB. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilman Kurvers and Wolf. No negative votes. Motion carried~ RESIGNATION OF COUNCILWOMAN NEILS: A motion was made by Councilman Wolf and seconded by Councilman Wolf to accept with regret the Resignation of Councilwomen Anne Neils. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Kurvers and Wolf. No negative votes. Motion carried. The Administrator will wri~è a letter to her thanking her for all her years of dedication. VILLAGE COUNCIL VACANCY: A motion was made by Councilman Kurvers and seconded by Councilman Wolf to adopt Resolution 1119731 declaring a vacancy exsisting on the Village Council. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Kurvers and Wolf. No negative votes. Motion carried. Councilman Bennyhoff entered the meeting. MINNETONKA SCHOOL ASSESSMENT: The Minnetonka School Officials and the Village Council will meet Saturday November 24, 1973 for a final decision on the North Service Area Assessment. EARL LUND ASSESSMENT: A motion was made by Councilman Wolf and seconded by Councilman Kurvers to deffer the assessment on Lots 9 & 10 Block 5 Red Cedar Point in the amount of $3669.00 until this land is sold or developed or demise of the property. The deferred assessment will be set for 10 years at which time it will bere-examined. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Kurvers and Wolf. No negative votes. Motion carried. JOINT PURCHASING WITH CARVER COUNTY: A motion was made by Councilman Bennyhoff and seconded by Councilman Wolf to participate with the County in a joint purchasing agreement on all gas bids. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Kurvers and Wolf. No negative votes. Motion carried. SEWER CHARGE FOR M.A. GEDNEY CO: A motion was made by Councilman Bennyhoff and seconded by Councilman Wolf to approve Resolution 1119732 establishing Sewer Service charges for M.A. Gedney Co. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Kurvers and Wolf. No negative votes. Motion carried. ~ , ..~ CHANHASSEN VILLAGE COUNCIL MINUTES - November 19, 1973 -2- CIGARETTE LICENSE: A motion was made by Councilman Kurvers and seconded I by Councilman Bennyhoff to approve the issuance of a cigarette license . for the FasGas Station on Highways 169-212. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Kurvers and Wolf. No negative votes. Motion carried. MODIFICATION TO ORDINANCES 33 and 47: A motion was made by Councilman Wolf and seconded by Councilman Kurvers to authorize the Village Attorney to draft a modification of Ordinances 33 and 47. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Kurvers and Wolf. No negative votes. Motion ~Carried. GAS STORAGE TANK: A motion was made by Councilman Bennyhoff and seconded by Councilman Kurvers to approve the purchase of a 2,000 gallon storage gas tank costing 400.00. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Kurvers and Wolf. No negative votes. Motion carried. PROJECT 73-10 BUESGENS OFFICE PARK: A motion was made by Councilman Bennyhoff and seconded by Councilman Wolf to authorize the Mayor and Clerk-Administrator to sign this contract agreement. The following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Bennyhoff, Kurvers and Wolf. No negative votes.
