1974 11 21SPECIAL CHANHASSEN CITY COUNCIL MEETING NOVEMBER 21, 1974 1 1 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Klingelhutz, The following members were present: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Hobbs, Bennyhoff, Neveaux, and Kurvers. PLANNER: The Council has interviewed three persons for the position of City Planner. Council members discussed the three applicants. A decision will be made Monday, November 25, 1974. CLERK - ADMINISTRATOR: A motion was made by Councilman Neveaux and seconded by Councilman Bennyhoff to accept the resignation with regret submitted by Lloyd Schnelle as City Clerk - Administrator dated Thursday, November 14, 1974. The following voted in favor: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Hobbs, Bennyhoff, Neveaux, and Kurvers. No negative votes. Motion carried. The Administrator recommended Adolph Tessness for the job because he is a citizen of Chanhassen, he knows the City and its problems, he knows t-hP Mefiro Council neoule. and the City bond issues. A motion was made by Councilman Neveaux and seconded by Councilman Hobbs that the Mayor and Vice Mayor do a telephone canvassing of the first ten applicants for the Clerk - Administrator position from 1973 and report back to the Council the first meeting in December. The following voted in favor: Mayor Klingelhutz, Councilmen Hobbs, Bennyhoff, Neveaux, and Kurvers. No negative votes. Motion carried. A salary range of $16,000 to $17,500 was discussed. The League should be contacted for names of persons who might be interested. A motion was made by Councilman Bennyhoff and seconded by Councilman Neve adj urn.
