PUBLIC HEA~ING - ZONING O:RJJINANCE - Pecember ),5, ;1.97),
The Chanhassen Village Council met on December 15, 1971, for
the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed Zoning
Ordinance. The following members were present: Councilmen
Bennyhoff, Klingelhutz, Neils and Wolf. Mayor Coulter was
absent.
The following interested persons were present: Richard J. Brown,
Mary C. Schumacher, Martin Ward, Merrill Bartlett, Mr. & Mrs. Willard
Johnson, Sally deLancey, John Neveaux, Arnold Ryba, Ann Ware, Ted
Ware and Ward Passe.
Acting Mayor Klingelhutz opened the public hearing.
The Village Administrator moderated the meeting.
The proposed Zoning Ordinance was read and highlighted in its
entirety.
Miscellaneous questions were asked pertaining to the proposed
ordinance.
The following letter from Hansen & K1inge1hutz Construction, Inc.,
was read by the Administrator:
December 15, 1971
Chanhassen Village Council:
I regret that I cannot attend the public hearing
on the zoning ordinance this date. I would, however,
like to request that the lots in Highland Park
Addition, Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, and east half of lot 6,
Block 4, remain C-2 or Commercial Zoning.

A motion was made by Councilman Bennyhoff and seconded by
Councilman Wolf to continue the public hearing until 7:30 p.m.
on January 5, 1972. The following voted in favor thereof:
Councilmen Bennyhoff, K1inge1hutz, Neils and Wolf. No negative
votes. Motion carried. ~
