David Hempel, Assistant City Engineer
December 29, 1999
Accept Utility Improvements in The Woods at Longacres 5th and
6th Additions - Project Nos. 99-15 & 16
Staff has received a letter fÌ'om Doug Stahl, Project Engineer with Schoell &
Madson, Inc., requesting the City consider acceptance of the utility improvements
(sanitary sewer and watermain) in the above-referenced projects. According to Mr.
Stahl, the public utility improvements have been completed in conformance with the
approved plans and specifications. City staff performed a walk-through inspection
of the project and found that the utilities are in satisfactory condition. All testing
has been successfully completed as well.
It is therefore recommended that the City Council accept the public utility
improvements in The Woods at Longacres 5th and 6th Additions for perpetual
maintenance and ownership conditioned upon the contractor supplying the City with
maintenance bonds guaranteeing the utility improvements for a two-year period
commencing on the date of acceptance.
