Review and Approval of a Policy to Formalize the Process for Temporary
Lifting of No Parking Restrictions - PW056
The City from time to time receives requests to temporarily lift no parking restrictions.
The City attempts to honor these requests when possible, however, during a recent review
of this practice with the City Attorney, it was recommended that a policy be drafted
defining the criteria and requirements for street closures.
Engineering has drafted the attached policy based on past City practice and discussions
with Fire, Sheriff's Department, and Public Works. Adoption of the policy is
recommended.
