Approve Change Order No.1 for Crestview Circle Street & Utility
Improvement - Project No. 00-05
REQUESTED ACTION
Approve the attached change order for the Crestview Circle Street and Utility
Improvement Project conditioned upon:
1.
Receipt of all project paperwork, including but not limited to the project
warranty bond
DISCUSSION
The consultant has submitted the final pay request and change order for the
Crestview Circle Street and Utility Improvement Project. During the assessment
process, the:: City took on a share of the financial cost of this project because ofthe
unexpected increase in cost as the increased assessments to cover the full cost of
the project were considered an unreasonable financial burden to the
neighborhood. This final payment would be paid out of City funds.
Approval ofthe change order is recommended to allow the closure of this project
and the negotiations with the project contractor. In addition, with the completion
of this change order, the City will be able to obtain the project warranty bond.
