A greal place 10 live, work, and play. ,.~ DATE: April 4, 2002 SUBJ: Overtime Policy This memorandum is a notice to all City employees that the City will be revising the existing City of Chanhassen Personnel Policy, Section 6.4 regarding overtime. The current policy states that overtime is accrued for work in excess of 40 hours worked in a workweek. The policy will be revised to read that overtime is accrued for work performed on a non-scheduled workday or any time worked in excess of 8 hours on a normally scheduled workday. This Dolicv _ will not apply to reQuests for special work schedules. ReQuest Cor special ~ork schedules must be made in writing and approved by the appointing~ authonty or de.signee. 0 Leave time may not be used on the same day that overtime is accrued, however, it may be used in the same pay period. Leave time would be sick, vacation, comp, or floating personal holiday. Formal adoption of the policy change by the City Council is anticipated on April 8, 2000.
