The Chanhassen Villager is running an article about redistricting tomorrow and any resident comments received will be forwarded to the City Council. The County Auditor is also reviewing the plan and his comments (if any) will also be forwarded to the Council. CITY OF CHANHASSEN CARVER AND HENNEPIN COUNTIES, MINNESOTA DATE: RESOLUTION NO: MOTION BY: SECONDED BY: A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING ELEcrION PRECINCTS FOR FUTURE ELECTIONS WHEREAS, the City of Chanhassen is required by law to designate Election Precincts for future elections held in the City of Chanhassen. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chanhassen that the following be designated as election precincts: · Chanhassen Hennepin County Precinct: All qualified voters residing in the City of Chanhassen east of the Carver CountylHennepin County boundary shall vote at Chanhassen City Hall, 7700 Market Boulevard. · Precinct 1: All qualified voters residing in that part of the City of Chanhassen in Minnetonka School District 276 lying east of Powers Boulevard (CR 17) and north/northeasterly of the following described line; north of Carver Beach Road to Nez Perce Drive, southerly on Nez Perce Drive to the northerly border of the subdivision of Triple Crown Estates, then easterly to Carver Beach Road, northwesterly along Carver Beach Road to Fox Hill Drive, northeasterly on Fox Hill Drive to Lotus Lake, southerly along the west shore of Lotus Lake to the eastern border of South Lotus Lake Addition, southeasterly along said line to the centerline of Trunk Highway 101, the!) northeasterly along the centerline of Trunk Highway 101 to the Carver CountylHennepin County line. Said residents will vote at Chanhassen Fire Station No.1, 7600 Laredo Drive. · Precinct 2: All qualified votfrs residing in that part of the City of Chanhassen in Chaska School District 112 described as follows: The northerly boundary line runs northwesterly along Carver Beach Road to Fox Hill Drive, northwesterly on Fox Hill Drive to Lotus Lake, southerly along the west shore of Lotus Lake to the eastern border of South Lotus Lake Addition, southeasterly along said line to the centerline of Trunk Highway 101, then northeasterly along the centerline of Trunk Highway 101 to the Carver CountylHennepin County line. Thence south along the Carver CountylHennepin County border line following the northerly shoreline of Rice Marsh Lake, then northwest to the centerline of Trunk Highway 101 (Great Plains Boulevard), and lying north of Riley Creek. Said residents will vote at Chanhassen City Hall, 7700 Market Boulevard. · Precinct 3: All qualified voters residing in the City of Chanhassen that lie south of Lyman Boulevard; as well as those residents lying north of Lyman Boulevard, east of Trunk Highway 101 (Great Plains Boulevard), south of Riley Creek, and then easterly along the southern shore of Rice Marsh Lake to the Carver CountylHennepin County border. Said residents will vote at the Discovery United Methodist Church, 275 Lake Drive East. · Precinct 4: All qualified voters residing in that part of Chaska School District 112 north of Lyman Boulevard, west of Trunk Highway 101 (Great Plains Boulevard), northerly to the south side of West 78th Street from Trunk Highway 101 (Great Plains Boulevard) to Kerber Boulevard, the west side of Kerber Boulevard, including the subdivision of Triple Crown Estates, west of Nez Perce Drive, south of Carver Beach Road and east of Powers Boulevard (CR 17). Said residents will vote at Living Christ Lutheran Church, 820 Lake Drive. · Precinct 5: All qualified voters residing north of Trunk Highway 5, east of Galpin Boulevard, west of Powers Boulevard, and south of the Chanhassen/Shorewood borderline. Said residents will vote at Family of Christ Lutheran Church, 2020 Coulter Boulevard. · Precinct 6: All qualified voters residing west of Galpin Boulevard, north of Lake Lucy Road, and south of Highway 5. Said residents will vote at the Chanhassen Recreation Center, 2310 Coulter Boulevard. · Precinct 7: All qualified voters residing south of Lake Lucy Road, west of Galpin Boulevard, east of Trunk Highway 41 (Hazeltine Boulevard), and north of Trunk Highway 5; as well as those residing south of Trunk Highway 5, west of Powers Boulevard, north of Lyman Boulevard, and east of Galpin Boulevard.
