MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor
City Council
FROM: Bruce M. Dejong, Finance Director l¡t¡j)
DATE: October 5, 2000
SUBJECT: Assessment Contract with Carver County
The Carver County Assessor has sent us a new contract for a two year period.
The item cost has remained the same as the prior contract at $7.50 per parcel. I
recommend that the city council pass a resolution authorizing the City Manager to
enter into the contract for another two year period.
The Assessor also included information regarding transferring the duties of the
·local board of equalization duties to the county board. I would recommend that
the council not exercise this option in order to keep assessed value disputes at the
local level.
