I SUBJ: Approve Plans and Specifications for 1989 Street Repair
Project, Authorize Advertising for Bids
File No. 89-16
II
Consistent with the provisions for the approved 1989 budget, spe-
I cifications for the 1989 street repair program are attached. As
in years past, several areas of the City are involved in this
program as indicated on the attached map.
I This year ' s work consists of not only sealcoating but several
areas designated for bituminous overlay or leveling course. My
estimate for this work is approximately $110 ,000 . The budget for
I road maintenance of this nature is $100 , 000 . Additional monies
will be available from State Aid funds since Kerber Boulevard is
a NSA roadway.
1 Since this work is an annual program and due to time constraints
for construction, the advertisement for bids has already been
published. It is therefore recommended that the plans and speci-
I fications for the 1989 street repair program be approved and
advertisement for bids be authorized.
