The City received three bids as noted in the attached bid tabulation I for this project which is typical for specialty work of this nature. 1 The low bidder was Odland Protective Coatings, Inc. as noted in the attached letter from the City ' s consultant. We find the low bid to be responsive and in good form and is $6 , 850 underneath ' the Engineer ' s estimate for this work. It is therefore recom- mended that the City Council award the bid for cleaning, repairing and painting the 100 ,000 elevate water storage tank to Odland Protective Coatings , Inc. in the amount of $57 , 340 . INotices will be mailed out to the property owners in the imme- diate area as requested by the Council to inform them of the I City ' s intentions to use the cumulus paint color as chosen for the ground storage reservoir and also of our intentions to paint the words Chanhassen on the north and south side of this tank, utilizing the City ' s letterhead letter style.
