After the swearing in, Don's wife Renee will pin the chief s badge on him. After the pinning ceremony, staff will be serving cake in celebration. Additionally, I have gained extensive management experience through command responsibilities in a major sheriffs office within the state of Minnesota. Operations & Logistics: Currently responsible for annual station budget and 20 personnel. This includes requesting budget support for tools, general maintenance, and capital requests. Career experience with managing a $38 million dollar budget and 344 FTEs. This included projecting revenues and managing approved expenditures for personnel, commodities and services. I provided managerial oversight to major building renovation projects and have an above average knowledge of technology and IT infrastructure. Training dr Development. As a lieutenant on the fire service I was responsible for delivering station training on a bi- weekly basis for approximately 6 years. '11tis included creating lesson plans, arranging resources, and delivering the curriculum. I hold MFSCB Instructor 1 status. While with HCSO, I managed a training unit responsible for annual, re- occurring training for accreditation requirements and a 120 hour new deputy orientation academy. The unit coordinated training for approximately 150 new hires a year and re- occurring training for 344 staff.
