SUBJ: Approval of Change Order No. 2 for Ground Storage Reservoir
Project No. 86-3
IThe ground storage reservoir was placed on line June 20 , 1988.
With the exception of site cleanup and the installation of an
I altitude valve on the downtown elevated storage tank, the project
is relatively complete. The attached Change Order No. 2 covers
the work which was necessary to raise the 24-inch mainline to a
suitable depth for connection to the reservoir. You may recall
1 the 24-inch jacking and valving at the intersection of Powers
Boulevard and Lake Lucy Road was done under separate contract
last winter. At the time of entering the contract for the reser-
Ivoir the actual elevation of this watermain line was not known.
It is therefore recommended that the attached Change Order No. 2
I in the amount of $3 , 241 be approved and that a new contract
ceiling price of $617 , 450 be established.
