(Galpin Boulevard Improvement Project 93-26)
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Van De Veire:
This letter will serve as a follow up to my conversations with Elizabeth on May 9 and
you on May 10. We will be recommending to the City Council that they accept your
settlement offer of $13,000.00 related to the additional compensation owing to you relating to
the Galpin Boulevard Improvement Project 93-26.
In June of 1995, the City paid you $14,560.00 pursuant to the City's appraisal. This
$13,000.00 would be additional compensation and would constitute a full, fmal and complete
settlement of all claims relating to the taking including any tree loss, interest and appraisal
fees.
It is understood that your settlement proposal is based upon the current offer by the
State of Minnesota, for additional property being taken, which is acceptable to you.
The next Chanhassen City Council meeting when this matter will be considered is on
May 22, 2000.
Enclosed for your signature is the Stipulation of Settlement which I will need returned
to me prior to the delivery of the check after council approval.
