II Recently, the Park and Recreation Commission met to determine a
decision statement and objectives by which a site can be selected
in the southern part of the City. They are as follows:
IIDecision Statement: To identify a 50-100 acre parcel of land in
the southern part of the City for park purposes.

part of the site selection process. As the Council is the group
who will ultimately make the selection, it seemed imperative that
they agree with the objectives .
Please note the M/W to the right of the objectives . This indica-
tes whether the Commission feels the objective is a "must" or a
"want This is important when considering different alter-
natives as any alternative that does not meet the "must" objec-
tives is automatically disqualified.

The Commission asks that the Council review the objectives.
They
would like the Council to take action to approve, delete, add to,
etc. , so that the Commission can move to the next step in the
process .
