File No. 85-12 I The Hidden Valley subdivision, located south of Lake Drive East between Trunk Highway 101 and Erie Avenue, has been constructed in two phases over the last two and a half years . Staff has recently gone over an entire review of the punch lists for the I projects since the Phase I utilities portion of the project was never formally accepted by the Council. As a result of our investigations, one gate valve and one manhole needs some minor I repairs . As certified in the February 9 , 1988 correspondence from Nodland Construction Company ( attached) , these will be taken care of as soon as weather permits in the spring. The contractor I has provided the City with appropriate lien waivers and warranty bonds for Phase I and Phase II utility installations . Due to weather conditions, staff was unable to perform a thorough I review of the storm drainage improvements to this area. Likewise, the bituminous wear course will be installed in the spring on the entire subdivision. As such, the storm drainage I improvements and roadway improvements will be left for review and acceptance in the spring of 1988 . ' It is therefore recommended that the City Council accept the uti- lity improvements (sanitary sewer and watermain) for Phase I and Phase II of Hidden Valley subdivision as constructed by Nodland Construction Company and Enebek Construction Company and that the I one-year warranty period shall commence with the date of accep- tance, i .e. February 22 , 1988 . It is further recommended that the financial security presently in place to guarantee the proper I installation of the improvements shall be appropriately reduced to recognize the acceptance of these improvements . We wish to advise that when weather permits, and a problem still exists, we will repair these as necessary. This would be on Phase One. Also in your letter, you mention the problem with Manhole 14, and also the re-testing of the Sanitary sewer line between Manholes 12 and 13. We also will do this work when weather permits.
